I am a Ph.D. candidate at UC Santa Barbara, studying Early Modern English literature and culture. My interest in Newton developed gradually in conjunction with an interest in late seventeenth century philosophy’s connections to imaginative literature. This project emerged after my research made it increasingly difficult to embrace theories of authorship and meaning derived solely from literary sources. It has been a great pleasure to work on so far, and I hope to share it with you as it develops.
